Look Inside a Polpo’s Home
May 4, 2026
Home looks different for everyone. Spanning from humans to animals, land to sea, the concept is the same.
This piece places us into the home of an octopus. Using interactive elements, found materials, lighting effects, and textures, we want you to be immersed in the octopus’s world.
Through extensive research with local professionals from scientists and artists to non profit leaders, we have gained insight into the deeply rooted fishing culture in Syracuse and how it not only affects us, but the Octopus too.
In this exhibition, you will experience how an octopus lives, its life cycle, and how endangering these creatures puts our entire ecosystem at risk.
