For this didactic exhibition, we utilized foam, fabrics, and cardboard to develop the soft sculpture of the octopi's home.

Our design began with extensive research on the fishing culture of Syracuse.

We were guided by Plemmirio Marine Protected Area volunteers and members of Sea Shepherd,  whose work along the Syracusan coastline highlights the ongoing commitment required to protect Mediterranean ecosystems.

Teamwork and clear communication was essential to bringing the design to life.

I collaborated daily with two accomplished scenic artists, overcoming language barriers while adjusting the final design.

Extras

Alongside the didactic elements, I also produced one of the five linoleum print designs to commemorate the opening reception.
